Spy Pond
Arlington, Massachusetts
History credits this English-style family home as being one of Arlington’s original ice houses, where workers would store large blocks of ice cut from Spy Pond. An extensive renovation centered around the homeowner’s wish to modernize the space for entertaining while maintaining much of its historic integrity. Folding doors, one of which is hidden on the exterior by large red barn doors, open to reveal a vast indoor-outdoor entertaining space.“We were able to give a modern flair to the home’s traditional elements in accordance with historic prerequisites.”
