Job Description
Merz Construction, Inc., is seeking an experienced, full-time carpenter to work on our high-end residential projects. The ideal candidate is responsible, efficient, dependable, self-motivated and comes to work with a positive, get-it-done attitude.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years’ high-end carpentry experience
- Ability to read and understand architectural drawings
- Extremely reliable, punctual and detail-oriented
- Extensive knowledge of proper handling of materials and tools
- Ability to perform physical labor and lift 80+ pounds
- Excellent customer service and time management skills
- Team-oriented with strong communication and listening skills
- Willing and able to follow company dress code
- Tools, valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Responsibilities
- Preparing worksites, setting up materials and protecting floors
- Framing, with an emphasis on finish work
- Maintaining a clean and organized worksite
- Abiding by all company policies, procedures and safety guidelines
- Communicating with staff, trade partners and other members of the project team
- Working independently, with limited supervision
