Merz Construction is a North Bennet Street School Partner in Craft

Founded in 1881, the North Bennet Street School is the country’s oldest trade school. Their mission is to train students for careers in traditional trades that use hand skills in concert with evolving technology, to preserve and advance craft traditions, and to promote greater appreciation of craftsmanship. Their programs focus on intensive, hands-on training.

A Commitment to Craftsmanship

We have a strong affinity with the mission of the North Bennet Street School and share their commitment to craftsmanship. Last week, we attended the Partners in Craft Breakfast, which included a faculty presentation, information about partnership opportunities, and a tour of the North Bennet Street School.

Partners in Craft

Over the course of the day, we spoke with several faculty members and students. We are pleased to be joining the North Bennet Street School’s Partners in Craft program. As a partner in craft, we will host class trips to our active job sites, serve as guest lecturers, and otherwise support the school’s efforts to train the next generation of fine craftsmen.
